Advice on using different fluoride interventions to help fight tooth decay and maintain a healthy mouth has become much clearer.

The National Fluoride Information Centre (NFIC) has been awarded the Crystal Mark Plain English Award for its set of new information leaflets.

The leaflets have been designed to help the public, parents and dental and health professionals access the most current and up to date advice on how different fluoride interventions and good dietary habits can help you achieve better dental health.

Professor Robin Davies, NFIC Director, said. The award ensures that the leaflets are easy to read and makes accessing understandable and simle dental health advice as easy as possible'.

The five leaflets offer simple advice on the importance of good brushing habits and the regular use of fluorde toothpaste in keeping children's teeth healthy.
